Hacienda Heights, in the San Gabriel Valley, is primarily a residential area, bordered by Puente Hills providing good nature treks. It is famous for Hsi Lai Temple, a 15-acre Buddhist temple in a traditional Chinese architectural style, with a museum and gardens, providing Buddhism learning facilities and the six-acre Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum, featuring mid-19th century homes, a historic cemetery with free guided tour explaining the southern Californian history.

Other attractions are Brunswick Covina Bowl, a fun place offering food, arcade games and sports, Puente Hills Mall, famed for being the sets for the movie ‘Back to the Future’, and Wildwood Mobile Country Club, a 9-hole par-3 golf course.
