Van Nuys


Van Nuys, in the center of San Fernando Valley, is named after Issac Van Nuys, an early settler of Dutch descent, with Nuys Boulevard as the main route crossing it, which is famous for car franchises. The city has a mix of various cultural styles and ethnic groups.

It is renowned for the Van Nuys Airport, which is the world’s busiest general aviation airport, and the base for airborne adventure and tours, by helicopter and airplanes providing aerial sightseeing. Other attractions are the Japanese Garden with its botanic display, Children’s Museum, Scuba diving, Golf Courses and Iceland Ice Skating Center, with bumper cars, and Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Pool.
